In recent weeks, the contractor completed temporary pavement installation from Bernay Lane to Illinois Route 83, officially completing Stage 1!
In Buffalo Grove, pavement, curb and gutter restoration has been completed along Alden Lane and Carlton Place. The contractor also finalized watermain improvements and the installation of the centerline storm sewer at the intersection of Alden Lane and Arlington Heights Road. This marks another project milestone, as all underground work in the road's centerline is now finished! This week, weather permitting, the contractor will mobilize to shift traffic entirely to Stage 2, utilizing the eastern lanes of Arlington Heights Road. The contractor will complete storm sewer installation along Arlington Heights Road between Lake Cook Road and Checker Drive as well as place the aggregate base to prepare that section of the road for a pause in work during the winter months. Please be prepared to stop during pavement operations and use caution when traveling through the area to support a safe work environment. |

Paving Operations Continue!

Last week, the contractor completed watermain improvements and the installation of the centerline storm sewer at the intersection of Alden Lane and Arlington Heights Road. This marks another project milestone, as all underground work in the road's centerline is now finished.
This week, the contractor will install temporary pavement on centerline medians along Arlington Heights Road. They will also pour curb and gutter and replace asphalt on Carlton Place and Alden Lane, where watermain work disrupted the road. Next week, Stage 2 storm sewer installation will continue between Lake Cook Road and Checker Drive. Please be prepared to stop during pavement operations and use caution when traveling through the area to support a safe work environment. |

Road Closure in Place!

Last week, the contractor completed the watermain crossing and connection at Carlton Place and began improvements for the Alden Lane crossing. The contractor has made great progress and pavement removal is almost complete on the west side of Arlington Heights Road from Lake Cook Road to Checker Road! As part of the project's next phase, Stage 2 sewer improvements began at Lake Cook Road.
This week, a temporary closure will be in place for watermain replacement work. Please note that Alden Lane will be closed from Arlington Heights Road to Aspen Drive. Traffic should use Carlton Place as an alternate route and allow extra travel time through this area. The contractor will also continue pavement and storm sewer installation between Lake Cook Road and Checker Drive. When traveling north of Bernay Lane use the two outside lanes of roadway, daily shifts in traffic may occur as needed for the watermain work. When traveling south of Bernay Lane all traffic shifts to the east side of the road. Please use caution when traveling through the area to support a safe work environment. |
